The MyChron3 Extreme is our most powerful data acquisition system for kart racing. It's a digital dash, gauge, and data logger that includes a lateral G sensor, tachometer, four analog inputs (which can be use for temperature, throttle/brake position sensors, etc), wheel speed, gear position (automatically calculated from rpm and speed values), and lap times.
The MyChron3 Extreme is designed for serious kart racers who want detailed analysis of driver, engine, and vehicle performance. The MyChron3 Extreme has all of the features of the MyChron3 Gold, but with 4 analog inputs for temperature sensors, potentiometers or other configurable sensors.
The lateral G sensor lets you create a map of the track when you download the data to your PC. This allows you to match up RPMs, gear positions and more to exact track positions to fine tune your driving. By adding brake position sensors, for example, you can monitor driving behavior and actually see where on the track you are braking. This is invaluable for driver training.
Featuring a wide, backlight display and 4 alarm LEDs, the MyChron3 gauges are fully configurable – putting you in full control of what you see on the screen.
The MyChron3 Extreme is a self-contained, true data logger that acquires data from all connected sources 10 times a second. Using our powerful Race Studio 2 software you can download your data to your PC via USB and get a professional analysis of your performance data. You can also replay the data on the MyChron3 without a PC or software. With 2 MB of memory, the MyChron3 Extreme stores over 3 hours of data. The MyChron3 Extreme features non-volatile memory, retaining data even when the power is off, and has an Auto-Power off feature to preserve the battery life.
Connect a few sensors to the MyChron3 and it displays, samples, and stores the data from those sensors. For example, you can connect a temperature sensor to the cylinder head of your engine and get continuous reads on your engine temperature. See the temperature values on the display as you drive, and download the recorded data to your PC and review the numbers on a graph later on. AiM Sports uses sophisticated data acquisition technologies in the MyChron3 to make this process fast, accurate, reliable and cost-effective.
